AERC sanctioned 25, 50, and 75 mile distances
and a 10 mile fun ride!

  • Registration Table will be open at 2pm
  • Vet in will start between 3pm and 4pm
  • Ride Meeting at 7pm, hope to see you there!!
  • There will be a "newbie" questions and answer talk available at 7:30pm

The Channeled Scablands provide unique terrain with miles of trail and amazing vistas. The footing is good, not too much rock, the elevation changes aren't too difficult, and the ridecamp offers easy access to both trails and roads. There's plenty of horse water available, but no hookups for RVs or trailers. Tent camping is perfectly okay. Ride camp will be in a grassy field that has rock outcroppings, so be aware. Camp will be open Friday AM.

All AERC/PNER and BLM regulations apply. Dogs allowed, but must be on a leash. Leave-no-trace camping: manure must be packed back out or hauled to a manure pile. Horses must be contained in secure systems. Horses should have some kind of hoof protection, boots/shoes. Juniors must be sponsored and wear helmets. Riders must ride single file through the single track sections.

A Saturday night meal will be provided, included in the entry for the riders and available for purchase for everyone else. The local/county 4-H club will be cooking meat and non-meat choices. They will have food available between 2pm and 6pm, so you can get your meal when you want it after you finish your ride or at a vet hold. They will appreciate donations for their labors.

We have a professional photographer out on the course taking pictures for your purchase after the ride.

Absolutely no smoking on the trails! Smoking in camp only, if permitted according to BLM discretion.

Want to pay online? No problem! We'll take your check at the ride, too, of course -- but if you'd like, you can just click the button on the top right, pay, print your receipt, and bring it with your entry form, also available for download at the top right of your screen.
